Design interlocking-block stage platforms to the job size, with an on-site assembly layout
Prakobd designs interlocking block stage platforms to match the event size. Enter width, length and height and the software builds a grid frame of cross-notched panels, splits long panels with jigsaw joints, drills pin holes at every crossing and lays out the deck sheets so their edges land on the panels. You get DXF, SVG and G-code files and a PDF panel layout plan showing the position code of every piece. Examples include a stage platform, a low riser, a podium and a floor-standing sign. Designing is free; you pay credits when you download production files
A perimeter frame, panels with half-lap cross notches in both directions, and a top floor sheet. Under the floor sheet joints there are paired panels, one per sheet, so every sheet sits on the full panel thickness and screws can go close to the edge.
Divide the bays by sheet or by count
Divide each floor panel into equal bays, or set the number of bays for the whole stage, and the program places the floor panel joints on the nearest panel and shows the actual bay sizes for checking
Panel layout plan for installers
The panel layout PDF, viewed from above, gives the position code of every panel segment and floor panel. Use it with the QR part labels to assemble on site without mixing up parts
Podiums and floor-standing signs
A closed-box speaking podium 110 cm high and a floor-standing sign made of cross-slotted panels on a base. Assembled without glue and resizable like any other job
Workflow
Choose an example or enter the stage size
Choose a single stage platform, a 2.4 × 4.9 m stage or a 20 cm low riser, then enter the real width, length and height of the job.
Enter the material
Enter the sheet material you use, its real measured thickness, the sheet size and the bit. Floor panels are laid out to that sheet size
Set the panel openings
Choose to split by floor sheet or by the number of bays across the whole stage, then check the frame and the real bay sizes in the 3D view.
Download the files and layouts
Check the sheets used in the nesting tab, then download the production pack with cut files, cut list, part labels and a PDF panel layout plan
Production file cost from real examples
Designing, viewing in 3D and viewing the nesting are free. You pay credits when you download the production file pack (ZIP), which is charged by the number of sheets and parts in the job.
Sheets counted against the standard 1220 × 2440 mm sheet · regular pack 1 credit ≈ 2 THB · On your first big-pack top-up, 1 credit ≈ 1 THB · New members get 80 credits to try · Price as of 2 Nov 2026 See all at Pricing and credit packs
Who it's for
✓CNC shops and event teams that build real stages and platforms
✓Organizers who need a stage platform sized to the space rather than a stock size
✓Installers who have to assemble on site from a plan showing every part's position
–Tall stages, or stages carrying heavy loads that need structural calculations, should be designed by an engineer or built with a steel frame.
Frequently asked questions
What does the production file cost for Stage platform?+
Design for free. You pay credits when you download the production file pack (ZIP), charged by the number of sheets and parts in the job. Example: Speaker's podium 59 credits (≈ 118 THB) · Stage platform 1 sheets 142 credits (≈ 284 THB) · Stage floor 2.4 × 4.9 m 447 credits (≈ 894 THB)
How can I design a large stage floor?+
Enter the stage size in the slotted-block template and the program builds a grid frame the size of the stage in one piece, splits long panels into segments with jigsaw joints, adds a locking pin hole at every intersection, and exports a panel layout PDF for on-site assembly
What is a panel layout plan?+
The PDF in a stage job's production file pack is viewed from above, with the stage front at the bottom. It gives the position code of every panel segment and floor panel so the installer can place each part in the right spot
What if a panel is longer than the board?+
Panels longer than the material sheet are split into segments joined with jigsaw joints. Every segment has a position code on the panel layout plan and on the part labels
Can it make a podium or a floor-standing sign?+
Yes. There is an example speaking podium, 110 cm high, as a closed box, and a floor-standing sign made of cross-slotted panels. Adjust the size and material, and add cutouts or a logo
