Can I price per metre like a built-in shop?

Yes. Choose the "Per metre" or "Per m² of face" pricing method in the Prices & quotations tab and enter rates for base, wall, tall, wardrobe and shelving cabinets. The length is read from the design (an L kitchen includes the side wall, wall cabinets on their own line), extras and the worktop are added on top. With no rate set, the job's break-even + margin rate is offered for you to use, and a red warning shows if the price is below cost + minimum margin

Can the holes match the hinges, minifix and dowels my shop uses?

Yes. On the account page, "Fittings & shop standards" tab, set once how carcasses are fastened, which hinge, brand, legs and the fitting sizes (hinge cup, minifix cam distance 24/34, dowel Ø, shelf pins, system 32). Every new cabinet job follows it; old jobs do not change

Are there packing lists, QC sheets and delivery notes?

Yes. The production files include "Packing and QC.pdf": a page per pack, per cabinet (to tape on the box), and a QC list of every part. A "delivery note" can be issued from the price card in the export step, with a running number per shop, for the customer to sign. Free

Does it work with six-sided drilling machines and label printers?

Yes (trial). Set it on the account page, Fittings & shop standards tab: six-sided drills get MPR (woodWOP) files, one per part named as the barcode on its label, and a CSV table. Labels print on A4 stickers or label printer rolls 60×40, 80×50, 100×70 mm, each with a barcode and a QR code. The drilling files are not yet tested on a real machine: try a test part first

My shop has no CNC yet — can I use a panel saw?

Yes. Set "Panel saw" on the account page, Fittings & shop standards tab. The production files then have a saw cutting plan a page per sheet with the cutting order (rip first, then crosscut) and the fence setting for every cut, allowing for kerf and edge trim, a CSV for computer saws, and full-size drilling templates for hinge cups, minifix, dowels and handles

Can I design a whole room and send the customer a 720° view?

Yes. Tap "+ Whole room" on the My jobs page, draw a rectangular, L- or U-shaped room, add doors and windows, and place many cabinets along the walls from the ready-made examples or saved jobs. You are warned when cabinets collide or block a window. Make a free 720° link for the customer to look round the room on their phone. The whole room exports as one job, nested together to save sheets, with a floor plan, wall elevations and one quotation

I can't find a setting — what do I do?

Press "Find a setting" at the top of the designer's left panel, or Ctrl/⌘ + K, and type the setting's name, e.g. fastener, radius, X0. The step it is in opens, the panel scrolls to it, it flashes, and the cursor is put in it ready to change

Can I make cabinets with rounded corners, and set the radius?

Yes — floor cabinets, shelves, display boxes, cubbies and the ends of built-in/kitchen runs. In the size step, "Rounded corners" box, tap the corners on the plan seen from above one at a time, set your own radius and choose kerf-bent or bending ply. The top, bottom and shelves are cut round to match, and the curved strips and ribs are all made for you. A round-ended counter has an end radius too: less than half the depth gives straight ends with rounded corners

Can my staff and workers use it too?

Yes, free for any number of people. On the account page, "Team" tab, invite designers/sales by link: they use the shop's credits, prices, fittings and jobs, with a monthly limit per person if you want. Workers at the machines open prakobd.com/floor on a tablet with the shop code + a PIN, scan labels and tick cut, drilled, banded, packed — without seeing prices or customers. The owner sees every job's progress

Can I download production files again?

Yes, for free. The "My jobs" page, "Production history", keeps the production files of your latest 60 jobs as they were made: the same nesting and G-code even after the design was changed, and you can open that design to keep editing

Can I put my shop name and logo on the PDF drawings?

Yes, at My account "Shop info" tab: enter your shop name, phone, LINE and logo, and they will be printed in the header of every drawing sheet

Can I save a job and come back to edit it later?

Yes. Save the job in your account (the "My jobs" menu) or download it as a .prakobd file to keep or pass on. While designing you can undo and redo

Can I put a logo or stencil pattern on a sheet?

Yes. You can add cutouts, drill holes and grooves on a sheet in the "Extras" step, or draw shapes in Illustrator/CorelDRAW and send them in as cutouts Plugin

Material, bit and fit11

What materials are supported?

CNC jobs: plywood, MDF, HMR, finger-jointed rubberwood, finger-jointed pine and PVC foam board · Laser jobs: acrylic, PP board, foam board and paper. Set the thickness, sheet size and surface color (white, MDF, HMR, wood grain) yourself

Enter the wood thickness from the label or measure it yourself

Enter the values you measured with a vernier caliper Real 15 mm plywood is often between 14.5–15.5 mm thick. If the value you enter doesn't match, grooves and finger joints will be tight or loose, which is the number one reason parts won't assemble

What is the "fit" value and what should I set it to?

The fit value is the joint allowance Positive = looser, negative = tighter Each machine, bit and material differs. The most accurate way is to download Fit test kit Cut a test piece and choose the value that fits

What is a fit test kit?

Joint test pieces at several clearances. Cut them in the same material and bit as the real job, then try assembling to see which clearance fits, and set the fit values accordingly Free download When signed in, at the "Material" step

Parts will not assemble after cutting, too tight — what should I fix?
  1. Measure the real board thickness and enter it in the "Material" step
  2. Check that the bit size in the program matches the real bit, and that your CAM cuts CUT-OUT outside the line and CUT-IN inside it
  3. Loosen the fit 0.1–0.2 mm at a time and test with the fit test kit
The parts feel loose or wobbly after assembly. What should I do?

Check the real thickness of the wood, then lower the fit value by 0.1 mm at a time. For laser jobs, make sure kerf compensation is not set again in the machine software, because Prakobd has already allowed for it in the lines

Where do I set up the cutting bits?

In the "Material" step enter the cutting bit diameter and choose the inside corner as dog-bone or T-bone. If the machine has several bits you can set up a bit set in the CNC machine settings in the Export step. The program picks the bit that fits for drilling and grooving by itself

What is the difference between dog-bone and T-bone?

A round bit cannot cut a square inside corner, so the corner must be relieved so the mating part can fit. A dog-bone relief cuts diagonally into the corner; a T-bone relief cuts out to the side and is less visible at some corners. Both are part of the outline cut, so the bit runs around the part in one pass with no separate corner drilling

Can I save my material and machine settings for reuse?

Yes. In the "Material" step, press save profile to keep the material, thickness, bits and fit values, and pick it right away on the next job. View and delete profiles on the account page, "Materials and machines" tab

Can the wood grain direction be locked?

Yes. When nesting, parts whose grain must show are placed along the grain direction of the sheet. You can adjust the grain direction of each part

Where do I set the material sheet size?

In the "Material" step enter the real sheet size, such as 1220×2440 mm. The nesting page arranges the parts to that size and warns if any part is larger than the sheet

G-code and CNC machines10

Which CNC router models does it work with?

When exporting production files, you can choose the machine/controller from 12 types, such as NcStudio, DSP handheld, Mach3 / Mach4, GRBL, Syntec / Fanuc ATC and M6 & LNC ATC Each one writes the file the way that machine reads it, and you can choose the file extension. If your machine uses another format, take the layered DXF or SVG and make the toolpaths in the machine's CAM software

Where does G-code set the 0 point

Default X0 Y0 = lower-left corner of the sheet and Z0 = top surface of the sheet Can be changed in the CNC machine settings at the export step (you can also change Z0 to the table surface). The G-code file header always states the values actually used. Set up the machine to match the header

How deep does G-code cut

Cut through 0.3 mm deeper than the material thickness (e.g. 15 mm wood is cut 15.3 mm deep), plunging one pass at a time as set; the default is 10 mm per pass and can be changed in the machine settings

Not cut through, or cut so deep it damages the table

Check that the Z0 set on the machine matches the file header (top of the sheet or table surface) and that the thickness in the software matches the real wood. You can adjust the overcut in the machine settings

What are part tabs?

Small bridges left so a part stays attached to the sheet while cutting, so it cannot come loose or shift. Off by default (every job cuts through in one pass); turn them on at the export step. Default size 8 mm wide, 2 mm high; cut them off with a knife and sand flush

Can I set the bit feed rate and spindle speed?

Yes, in the CNC settings at the export step. The defaults are feed 3000 mm/min, plunge 1200, spindle 18000 rpm and safe retract 10 mm. Set them to match your machine's bits and material

In what order should drilling, grooving and cutting be done?

In the file the order is drill → groove → through-cut, so the part stays attached to the sheet while drilling and grooving. With several bits, the file header lists the bit change order

The screw hole is smaller than the bit — what does the program do?

If the CAM tool set has a small enough bit, the software uses that bit to drill; if not, it drills only a pilot point and the file notes that the rest should be drilled with a hand drill

How do I handle parts that need grooving on both sides?

The cut sheet layout shows which parts must be flipped and grooved on the other side, and the back-side files are separated for you. Set the position as the layout says before cutting the second side

I don't have a CNC router or laser cutter. Where can I order cutting?

After designing in Prakobd,You can order production or cutting of your pieces at the shopNat Design Tak (natdesigntak.com) Send the .prakobd job file or the production file pack to the shop, or send the files to a CNC shop near you, since the files use the standard DXF, SVG and G-code formats

Laser cutter4

Do I need to compensate for kerf on a laser cutter?

No Prakobd already includes kerf in the lines. Set the beam kerf in the "Material" step, then have the machine cut exactly on the line without compensating again

Which files work with a laser cutter?

Use layered SVG or DXF. Open in LightBurn, RDWorks or your machine's software, then set power and speed per layer: cut (CUT), engrave/score (SCORE), or place the job into Illustrator/CorelDRAW via Plugin

What materials can laser jobs use?

Acrylic, PP board, foam board, paper and thin wood. Set the thickness and kerf to match the real material. Cut a fit test kit before the real job

What is a fold line (BEND)?

Single-sheet folded acrylic work has a yellow BEND layer, which is a line marking the fold position Not a cut line Turn this shelf off for cutting, then fold it with an acrylic bender at the angles in the cut list

Files and export9

What does the production file pack include?

The ZIP file contains: PDF assembly drawing · cut sheet layouts one part at a time · PDF/CSV cut list with hardware list · part labels with QR · PDF assembly steps · SVG and DXF cut files, per part and combined · nesting with G-code · the .prakobd job file. Stage jobs also include a panel layout plan

How are the layers in the DXF/SVG files organized?

CUT-OUT cuts the outer outline · CUT-IN cuts inner openings · POCKET grooves · DRILL drills holes · SCORE marks/engraves · BEND fold line (not cut). For CNC jobs the lines are the true part size: cut CUT-OUT outside the line and CUT-IN inside the line

Can I download the files one sheet at a time?

Yes. On the "CNC nesting" tab, you can download the DXF, SVG or G-code of the sheet you want, one sheet at a time. Credits are charged by sheet size

Can it calculate how many sheets of wood I need?

Yes. The "CNC nesting" tab arranges parts on sheets by real shape and wood grain direction, tells you the number of sheets and the percentage of area used, and lets you view all sheets together or zoom into one at a time. Viewing is free, no credits used

What is the STL model used for?

The assembled cabinet model, for opening in other 3D software, such as for rendering images or placing in a house plan. Downloaded separately from the production file pack

What are part labels for?

Print and stick on each part after cutting, showing the code and part name. Scan the QR to see the part's position in the design, so assemblers do not mix up parts.

How can I check the design before actually cutting?

The export step showsCautionsof the design, for example thickness not matching the material, a bit too large for a slot, or a part larger than the sheet. In the 3D view you can explode the parts, hide sheets, or turn on transparent mode to see inside, and you should cut the fit test kit before the real job

What should I do when the "bit too large for slot" warning appears?

The cell or hole is smaller than the cutting bit. Fix: use a smaller bit in the "Material" step (or add a smaller bit to the machine's bit set) or enlarge the cell/hole to be wider than the bit

Can I sell products made from the files?

Yes. The designs and files you create are yours, and you can use them for production or sale. Always check the sizes and do a test cut before real production

Illustrator / CorelDRAW plugin6

What can the Prakobd Link plugin do?

Place the cut sheets from a saved job into Illustrator or CorelDRAW (one artboard per material sheet, with separate layers for cut, groove and drill), and send shapes from the document, such as a logo or stencil pattern, back as cut-outs on the design

Which versions of the programs does the plugin support?

Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 or later (Windows and macOS) and CorelDRAW X7 or later (Windows)

How do I install the plugin?

At Plugin page Copy the install command and paste it into Terminal (Mac) or PowerShell (Windows), or download the ZIP file and run the installer inside. Then close and reopen the program. Illustrator: Window → Extensions → Prakobd Link · CorelDRAW: Window → Dockers → Prakobd Link

Cannot sign in in the plugin panel

Use the same email and password as on the web; keys are no longer used If you signed up with Google, you must set a password first On the web sign-in page → Forgot password. If the panel says to update, install the new version from Plugin page

How many machines can I install the plugin on?

No limit on machines. Every machine signs in with the same email and uses the same credits

Does placing a job through the plugin cost credits?

Placing a job in a document is charged by the number of sheets, the same as the production file pack. The panel always shows the price first. Placing the same job again within 24 hours is not charged again. Sending shapes back to the website costs no credits

AI design5

Can I create a cabinet design from a photo?

Available at Design with AI Upload a photo of a real cabinet, a sample image, a draft or a sketch (multiple angles are fine). The AI reads the image and drafts the design, dividing compartments, shelves, doors and drawers as it sees them. You can then edit every value and export files just like a design you made yourself. Describing it in text alone also works

How does AI design charge credits

The image-reading step is free. When you tell the AI to draw the design, credits are charged according to Pricing page Deducted only when the design is returned If the image cannot be read or the connection fails, no charge is made

The AI design does not match the photo. What should I do

Use a photo taken straight on that shows the whole piece. Enter the real sizes you know (width, depth, height) in the optional fields, then type what needs fixing, or adjust any value yourself in the designer

Are images sent to the AI designer stored?

The image is sent to Anthropic (the provider of Claude) for processing and stored in the system so the team can check quality and help fix problems Deleted automatically after 180 days A job is shown as a public example only if you tick the consent box. More at Privacy policy

What is the "Ask the assistant" button at the bottom right?

The Prakobd assistant answers questions about using the app instantly with AI, free of charge and with no credits deducted (daily limit applies). If you are signed in, it can see your credits and orders to answer accurately, accept attached screenshots, and hand the case over to the team via LINE when it cannot be solved.

Credits and payments12

How do credits work?

Prakobd uses credit top-ups No monthly or yearly fees Design for free, and credits are deducted when you download production files, an STL model, place a job via the plugin, or use AI to design. The download button always shows the price before you press it. See packs and prices at Pricing and credit packs

How are credits charged for the production file pack?

Priced per job: the starting price includes 1 sheet and a certain number of parts, plus a charge for each additional sheet, each additional part, and parts with grooves or drilling, capped per job, and always cheaper than buying cut sheets one by one. Jobs with few parts are easy and so cheap; complex jobs cost more. Sheets are counted from the total part area against a standard 1220×2440 mm sheet, separately by material and thickness, then rounded up. See current prices at Pricing page

Does downloading the same file again cost credits?

Same design with all values unchanged; download the same file type againNo double charge within 24 hours If you edit the design and download again, it counts as a new file; and if file generation fails, the system refunds the credits automatically

Do credits expire?

Never expires Valid indefinitely in the account that topped up, but can't be exchanged for cash or transferred to another account

What is the first top-up promo

A first-time Pro pack top-up gets bonus credits as shown in Pricing page You can top up a small pack before and still get it. The promo can't be combined with a discount code

What can I pay with?

Credit/debit card or scan PromptPay QR The QR is valid for 30 minutes. If it expires, press create again. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's system; Prakobd does not store card numbers

Where did my credits go, and where can I see the history?
