LightBurn

Ready-to-cut files for LightBurn

Prakobd exports SVG and DXF layered by operation (cut, score, fold line). When imported into LightBurn, each layer has its own color, so you can set power and speed right away. The beam width (kerf) is already allowed for in the lines, so parts fit together without compensating again in LightBurn. Great for finger-joint boxes, acrylic boxes, display shelves and POP work.

What do I get?

Layers color-coded by operation

Cut, score and fold lines are on separate layers. You can turn off the layers you don't cut, for example the yellow BEND layer, which marks the fold positions.

Kerf already allowed for in the lines

Enter the machine's kerf in the Material step. The lines already come out with the allowance, so set LightBurn to cut exactly on the line and do not compensate again.

Boxes that assemble with a perfect fit

Finger joints, locks and joints are calculated from the thickness you actually measured. Cut a free fit-test set first to find the value that fits your material.

Workflow

  1. Enter the laser machine settings

Choose the laser machine, then enter the measured material thickness and the machine's kerf in the Material step.

  2. Design or choose an example

Pick a box, display shelf or sign from the examples, then enter the size

  3. Import into LightBurn

Download the SVG or DXF, Import it into LightBurn, and set power and speed per layer

  4. Cut and assemble

Cut layer by layer in order, then assemble following the PDF assembly drawing

Frequently asked questions

What does the production file cost for LightBurn?

Design for free. You pay credits when you download the production file pack (ZIP), charged by the number of sheets and parts in the job. Example: clear acrylic 6-sided box 59 credits (≈ 118 THB) · POP display shelf, straight, 5 tiers, PVC foam board 64 credits (≈ 128 THB)

SVG or DXF: which is better in LightBurn?

Both work. SVG is usually easier to open in laser software. Both files are split into layers by operation in the same way and use millimeters.

Do I need to set a kerf offset in LightBurn?

No need to set kerf. It is already allowed for in the lines. If you set it again, parts will come out too small or too loose.
