What do I get?

Butt-jointed acrylic and acrylic folded from a single sheet

Acrylic boxes and display cases with glued butt joints, or single-sheet fold-up designs with a separate BEND layer that is not cut. Use it as the bending line on an acrylic bending machine; the fold angles are in the cut list.

POP display shelves in 3 materials

Straight, stepped-slant, tapered-top and wavy-sided shapes, made from flat grooved PVC foam board, or glue-free folding corrugated board and PP board, with fold score lines on the BEND layer

Print margins and 3D mockup

Parts that need printing have a PRINT layer, which is the cut line plus 3 mm bleed. Download the artwork template to lay out your print, then upload it back and apply it on the 3D model for the client to see before production.

Keep working in Illustrator / CorelDRAW

The Prakobd Link plugin places cut sheets into your document, one artboard per material sheet, with cut, groove and drill layers separated, and sends a logo or stencil back as a cutout on the design

Workflow

Choose an example job
Choose from the acrylic cabinet, Display or Shop categories, such as a clear 6-sided acrylic box, a straight POP display stand or a 60 cm sign light box, then enter the size your customer wants.
Set materials for your machine
Choose acrylic, PP board or corrugated board for a laser or flatbed cutter, or PVC foam board for a CNC. Enter the real thickness and the kerf or bit, then cut a fit test kit before the real job.
Place artwork for the customer to see
Download the artwork template for the parts to be printed, place your artwork in the PRINT frame, then upload it back to view on the 3D model or send customers a link to rotate and view
Download files to cut
Download layered SVG or DXF and open it in LightBurn, RDWorks or the machine's software, or paste it into Illustrator / CorelDRAW via the plugin, then turn off the BEND and PRINT layers so they are not cut

Can the files be used directly on a laser cutter?

Yes. Use layered SVG or DXF, open it in LightBurn, RDWorks or the machine's software, then set power and speed per layer. The kerf is already allowed in the lines, so there is no need to compensate again in the machine

What machine cuts corrugated or PP board display shelves?

Folding designs from corrugated board or PP board are cut with a flatbed cutter or laser. Fold lines are on the BEND layer as dashed lines and are not cut; set them to a creasing wheel or creasing knife. Flat-sheet PVC foam board designs are cut with CNC

Where do folded acrylic pieces fold?

Single-sheet fold-up acrylic designs have a yellow BEND layer marking the fold position. It is not a cut line. Turn this layer off on the laser machine, then fold with an acrylic bending machine at the angles in the cut list.

Which versions of the software does the Prakobd Link plugin work with?

Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 or later (Windows and macOS) and CorelDRAW X7 or later (Windows). Install on as many computers as you like. Sign in with the same email as on the website.
