DIY furniture

Design your own furniture without a machine, then send the files to a shop to cut

Prakobd lets DIY furniture makers and beginners design on the web without installing software or owning a machine. Choose from 209 ready-made examples or let the AI design from a photo, enter the size you want, view it in 3D, then download the production file pack with DXF, SVG, G-code, a cut list, part labels and assembly steps to take to a CNC or laser shop near you, or order the cut from Nat Design Tak. Designing is free; you pay credits when you download production files

What do I get?

No need to draw each part one by one

Enter width, depth and height, and the program generates the parts, joints and drill holes. Click a bay in the 3D view to add a shelf, door or drawer

You can start from a photo

Upload a photo of a real cabinet, a reference image or a sketch and the AI draws the design with the compartments, shelves, doors and drawers it sees. Every value can still be edited afterwards.

Standard files that any cutting shop can open

Layered DXF and SVG for cutting, drilling and grooving, plus G-code. Send them to a CNC or laser shop near you, or send the .prakobd job file so the shop can open and edit it.

Assembly guide for beginners

Part labels carry a QR code showing each part's position, assembly steps come as 3D images step by step, and the hardware list, such as hinges, drawer slides and screws, comes with quantities and can be used as a purchase order.

Workflow

  1. Choose an example or send a photo to the AI

Choose a close example such as a 5-tier bookcase or a headboard cabinet, or upload a photo of the furniture you want on the Design with AI page.

  2. Enter dimensions and material

Enter dimensions for the real space and choose a material, such as plywood or MDF. Ask the shop that will cut for the real thickness, bit size and fit value, then enter them to match

  3. Check the design before ordering the cut

Rotate in 3D, explode the parts or switch to transparent mode to see inside, check how many sheets are used in the nesting tab, and read the warnings in the export step.

  4. Download the files and send them to a cutting shop

Download the production file pack (ZIP) and send it to a CNC or laser shop, or order cutting at Nat Design Tak, then assemble following the labels and assembly steps

Production file cost from real examples

Designing, viewing in 3D and viewing the nesting are free. You pay credits when you download the production file pack (ZIP), which is charged by the number of sheets and parts in the job.

Frequently asked questions

What does the production file cost for DIY furniture?

Design for free. You pay credits when you download the production file pack (ZIP), charged by the number of sheets and parts in the job. Example: Bookshelf 5 shelf 96 credits (≈ 192 THB) · Bedside cabinet 113 credits (≈ 226 THB) · 2-door wardrobe 131 credits (≈ 262 THB)

I don't have a CNC router or laser cutter. Where can I order cutting?

You can order production or cutting from Nat Design Tak (natdesigntak.com) by sending the .prakobd job file or the production file pack. You can also send the files to any CNC shop near you, because the files use standard DXF, SVG and G-code.

I've never used drafting software. Can I still use it?

Yes. Design in steps: size, material, structure, extras and export. There is a screenshot guide, video tutorials and an "Ask the assistant" button at the bottom right for instant questions

Does a cutting shop need Prakobd?

No. The production file pack contains DXF, SVG and G-code that open in common machine software. The .prakobd file is used when you want to reopen and keep editing the design on the Prakobd website

Can I use it on a phone?

You can open the 3D view, edit sizes and download files on a phone, but for detailed design we recommend a computer or tablet, because the screen is larger and the 3D view is easier to rotate.
