Prakobd designs bookshelves and storage shelves on the web. Choose from 12 examples in the shelf category, such as a 5-tier bookshelf, 9- and 16-compartment grid cabinets, an arched-top bookshelf, a storage shelf and a rolling shelf, then adjust the size, number of compartments and shelf spacing. The software warns you when a shelf is long enough to sag in the middle and tells you how to fix it. You get every cut sheet, nesting, and DXF, SVG and G-code files
The program calculates the sag of every shelf under about 30 kg of books per meter. If the sag is visible to the eye, it warns you and suggests fixes, such as thicker board, a center divider, or a wood lip under the front edge of the shelf
Divide columns and shelves freely, with equal bays divided automatically. Choose adjustable shelves on a 32 mm hole row or fixed shelves. Drag or type a distance to move a shelf
Choose from dado, tab, tab with wedge lock, half-lap, finger-joint or screw-fixed butt joints. Corner relief can be dog-bone or T-bone, and you can cut a fit test kit before the real job.
There are half-round arched bookshelves, double-wall arched shelves, a children's toy cabinet, and a 1 m 5-tier storage shelf for storerooms. The sheet count can be viewed for free in the nesting tab
Choose a bookcase, grid cabinet, shoe rack, storage shelf or arched shelf close to what you need, then enter the real width, depth and height.
Choose plywood, MDF, rubberwood finger-jointed board or another sheet material, then enter the measured thickness, the bit and the fit. The app recommends materials that can carry the weight of books.
Set the number of columns and shelves, click an opening in the 3D view to add shelves, partitions, doors or drawers, and watch for shelf sag warnings.
Check the sheet count and the percentage of area used in the nesting tab, review the cautions, then download the ZIP production pack or per-sheet files to cut

Depends on the material, thickness and shelf depth. The program calculates every shelf in the design; if the sag would be visible, it tells you how thick the board must be, or how long the shelf span can be at most. For example, MDF thinner than 15 mm will sag under books on a shelf longer than 80 cm.
Yes. Start from a 9-bay or 16-bay grid cabinet, then freely adjust width, depth, height, and the number of columns and shelves. The program divides the bays equally, and you can enter either outside size or inner bay size
The program recommends 18 mm plywood, so long shelves do not sag in the middle, or 20 mm rubberwood finger-jointed board, which is hard and has a beautiful real-wood surface. Always enter the thickness measured with calipers
Yes. Design in Prakobd, then send the production file pack to a nearby CNC shop to cut, because the files are standard DXF, SVG and G-code, or order cutting at Nat Design Tak, then assemble following the PDF assembly steps
